WGHSO Orchestra Fee
Instruments should be at home every day
The only time an instrument should be left here in the evening is when a student is using time during the day to come in and have a 30 minute practice session before/after school or during Grove time.
We have had 3 weeks to figure out our schedules.
A Student leaving their instrument at school, therefore not practicing daily, will result in a lowered grade for each day the instrument is here overnight.
This has been a discussion and an encouragement. We are moving into the motivation stage.
Cello/Bass will have daily grades to assure music is improving with each class.
Orchestra in HOCO Parade
At WGHS the Orchestra is ALL IN on HOCO Parade!
We will play the HOCO parade. Not many Orchestras in parades.
The Grove is a special place. It's crazy excitement!
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 at 6PM (Students arrive at Orchestra trailer before 5:30)
A Parade Permission slip will be coming home early next week
All Region 2025
All Students have All Region music and information in their Orchestra folder.
Chamber Orchestra: All students audition
Symphony Orchestra: Audition highly encouraged (especially if you have Chamber aspirations)
Philharmonic Orchestra: Auditions encouraged (you rarely make All Region the first time you audition, make this experience NOW)
This process makes every player better in a way that only the Player can control.
Auditions are OCTOBER 4th at McKinney BOYD HS
Sign up Lists will be posted next week
