Hello FamiLEE,

We have made it to the end of the third month of the school year. I am excited that it has been a successful school year so far. I encourage all parents with junior students to question your child about his/her scores on the practice ACT. We are working hard to prepare for our ACT test in April.

Please send excuse notes to LHS.Attendance@hsv-k12.org. We are working hard to meet our goal of a 95% attendance rate. Please help us with this effort. We need to get back up to 95%.

Our magnet window is open. If you know someone interested in applying, please send them the information in this newsletter. We want to grow our FamiLEE!!!

Below is our current attendance rate. We have a goal of 95% this year. Please help us reach this goal by ensuring your child is here every day. If you child has to be out, please send excuses. The NEW attendance email address is LHS.attendance@hsv-k12.org.

Attention Parents & Guardians! Every Tuesday through Friday, we have FamiLEE time between 11:30am-12:15pm. This is a time when students can get help from their teachers or attend clubs. If your student is struggling or needs to get help from their teacher, please see the schedule of teacher office hours below and encourage your child to attend!

• Shout-out to our Freshmen of the Week from this week! Aharii Rankins comes to us from Chapman Middle. This year she would like to try out for the softball team and apply for the CTE program in cosmetology. In her spare time she likes to hang out with her mom, watch TikToks, and play video games. When she graduates from high school she would like to go to start her own business or become a realtor.. Her favorite teacher at Lee is Ms. Renaud because she is cool and really helps me when I need it. Ja’Terrius Butler comes to us from Chapman Middle. In his spare time he likes to play video games and play basketball. When he graduates from high school he would like to be a professional basketball player. His favorite teacher at Lee is Ms. Bacik! Congratulations to both of them for representing our FamiLEE values so well!
• Shout-out to all of our vocal students who performed well at this weekend's Trumbauer competition and will be moving onto the state competition! The names of students who won in other categories is coming soon!
• Shout-out to our Swim Team for an excellent performance at Saturday's meet!
