I loved seeing a preview of Patton's Junior Thespian troupe's production of “The Lonely Boy’s Guide to Survival (and Werewolves)” this week. The cast, including (above from left) Molly Swart (Sally Ann); Ray Patton (Mr. Survival Guide); Lauren DuPuis (Skipper); Ethan Krigbaum (assistant director/Abraham Van); Natalie Morgan (Vivian); Dylan Elliott (Mr. Culliford); and Mitchell Ronning (Jonathan), was amazing!

Patton invites the community to see their production, which runs Friday through Sunday, Dec. 10 – 12, 2021. The play is a fun, poignant story of friendship, self-reliance, loss and grief.

Holiday Meals in the Cafeteria Holiday Meals in the Cafeteria

Next week, MSD Nutrition Services is planning some traditional holiday meals for the last week before Winter Break. On Tuesday, students will be served tamales, a Mexican treat often served at Christmastime, and Wednesday, students will be served a turkey dinner, mashed potatoes with gravy, rolls and a gingerbread cookie.

If either of these meals is unfamiliar to your student, you might encourage them to give it a try!

Inclement Weather Reminder

With snow forecast for higher elevations this weekend, now is a good time to remind you how we will let you know if weather impacts school operations.

Team Competion

Teams wait their turn to compete on the floor with their creations.

Third grade robotics has launched for this school year with Newby. Students have been working with the robotics kits and finished up the project with a jamboree at Evergreen Museum.

The kits will move to other schools’ third graders throughout the rest of the year.

The program is part of the district's Science Experiences program, funded by the McMinnville Education Foundation.
