TVHS Safety and Security Expectations

Students,

Beginning Monday, August 31, the following expectations will be in place. These procedures are intended to help maintain a safe and secure campus, protect instructional time, and minimize disruptions to the school day.

Please review the following expectations carefully:

  • Leaving Campus During ELO or Lunch: If you choose to leave campus during ELO or lunch, you will not be permitted to re-enter the building until the end of that period.
  • Student ID Required: Students entering through designated student entrances must have either their physical student ID or access to their Infinite Campus ID on their phone. If you do not have either form of identification, you must enter through the main entrance.
  • Late Arrival: If you arrive late to school or return late to the building, you must enter through the main entrance.
  • Secure Exterior Doors: Do not hold exterior doors open for other students or prop doors open at any time. Everyone entering the building must follow the appropriate entry procedures. Keeping our building secure is everyone's responsibility.
  • Skateboards, Scooters, and E-Scooters: Riding skateboards, scooters, or e-scooters is not permitted on school grounds. Please walk and properly store these items while on campus.
  • Food Delivery Services: School personnel will not accept DoorDash or other food-delivery orders for students. Students will not be released from class to meet a delivery driver or pick up an order.
  • Vending Machine Use: Students may use the vending machines during passing periods and lunch only. Students should not visit the vending machines during instructional time or while out of class for a bathroom break. A bathroom break is not an opportunity to purchase snacks or drinks. Please plan accordingly and use the vending machines at the appropriate times.

These expectations are designed to keep our campus safe and secure while protecting instructional time. We appreciate your cooperation and your role in creating a positive school environment.

Thank you,

TVHS Administration

Hello TVHS Families

We are excited for another great year of Unified Activities at Thompson Valley High School! Unified gives students the opportunity to build friendships, develop leadership skills, compete together, and create a school community where everyone belongs.

Whether your student is interested in participating as an athlete or partner, there are several ways to jump into Unified this fall!

What Are Unified Activities?

Unified Programs bring together students with and without intellectual disabilities through athletics, leadership, wellness, and school activities. Athletes and partners participate side-by-side, creating meaningful friendships while building teamwork, confidence, and school spirit.

At TVHS, we are proud to continue growing Unified opportunities for our Eagles!

Unified Flag Football — TVHS Eagles

Unified Flag Football is getting ready to kick off!

We are currently gathering students who are interested in joining our TVHS Unified Flag Football team as athletes or partners. Our official practice schedule and season dates are still being finalized, but now is the time to let us know if your student would like to participate!

No previous football experience is necessary. Students can come ready to learn, have fun, make new friends, and represent TVHS!

For more information or to let us know your student is interested, please contact:

Ryan Williams — ryan.williams@tsd.org
Cristina Frick — cristina.frick@tsd.org

More information about practices and the season schedule will be shared soon.

NOCO Unified Flag Football Kickoff

Before the season gets underway, our Unified students have an exciting opportunity to get out on the field at the NOCO Unified Flag Football Kickoff!

Friday, September 18
9:30 AM–12:30 PM
Loveland Sports Park — Championship Turf
950 N. Boyd Lake Ave., Loveland

The kickoff is designed to start the Unified football season with fun, skills, drills, and team building. Athletes and partners will have the opportunity to experience flag football activities that will help prepare and encourage them for the season ahead. Coaches will also have time to connect with other Unified coaches, exchange ideas, and gather resources for their teams.

The event is sponsored by FCA All Abilities.

Students interested in attending with TVHS should contact Ryan Williams or Cristina Frick.

Loveland Unified Bowling Team

Unified Bowling is also rolling into action!

This program is being run out of Loveland High School and is open to both athletes and partners.

Season Starts: September 10
Practices: Thursdays, 4:15–5:30 PM
Location: Sweetheart Lanes
2320 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland

All bowlers must complete the Thompson School District athletic paperwork and register with Special Olympics Colorado before they can practice.

Get Involved in Unified!

Unified is about much more than competing. It is about belonging, friendship, leadership, teamwork, and giving students opportunities to connect with one another in meaningful ways.

We would love to see even more TVHS students get involved this year as athletes, partners, leaders, fans, and supporters.

Keep an eye out for more Unified opportunities throughout the school year. We can't wait for another great year of inclusion, connection, and Eagle spirit!

Eagles Soar Together!

Unified Flag Football is Coming

We’re excited to get our high school Unified Flag Football season underway! Unified sports bring students together through teamwork, friendship, and the love of competition—and we’d love to see even more students get involved this season.

Important first step: Physicals

If your student would like to participate in Unified Flag Football, a current physical must be completed before they can play. Please make arrangements to have your student’s physical completed and submitted as soon as possible so they are ready to participate.

First Game: September 14

Practice will begin before the first game, with the schedule to be announced soon. Please watch for additional information from the school regarding practice dates, times, and locations.

We want YOU on the team!

Students of all abilities are encouraged to participate. Whether your student is an experienced athlete or has never played football before, Unified Flag Football is a great opportunity to be part of a team, build friendships, and represent our school.

We are also looking for parents, staff, and community partners who would like to support our Unified athletes. There are many ways to help, including volunteering, cheering on our players, helping with team activities, or simply helping us spread the word.

Let’s make this a great season for our Unified players!

For questions or information about getting involved, please contact Cristina Frick, Ryan Williams, or Amanda Moore.

Get Connected at TVHS! 🦅

Hello TVHS Families!

My name is Misti Juergensen, and I am the Activities Coordinator at Thompson Valley High School. One of my favorite parts of my role is helping students find ways to get connected and involved in our school community!

TVHS offers a wide variety of clubs, activities, organizations, leadership opportunities, and Fine Arts programs. Whether students want to explore a new interest, meet new people, develop leadership skills, share their talents, or simply find a place where they belong, there is something for every Eagle.

Opportunities include everything from DECA, Robotics, Knowledge Bowl, and Book Club to Student Council, National Honor Societies, Band, Orchestra, Choir, Theater, Visual Arts, and much more!

Below, you’ll find a full list of our activities, clubs, and organizations, along with the staff sponsors to contact for more information. I encourage students to reach out to a sponsor, ask questions, and give something new a try!

If you’re not sure where to start or have questions about getting involved, please feel free to contact me at misti.juergensen@tsd.org. I’m happy to help connect your student with an opportunity that interests them.
