Fundraiser packets came home on Wednesday 9/11. Please help our school raise funds by selling items to your friends and families. For every 2 items sold, your child will earn a different prehistoric pal. They would love to collect all 12 creatures. Any student that sells 15 items or more, will be invited to go off campus for lunch in a limo! Please watch the video for more information and THANK YOU for helping us raise funds for our students!

Join us on Thursday, September 26th for a very special "KNIGHT" at Walker's Magial Castle. Students will partake in several quests throughout the evening and parents will get information on what it means to be a Title 1 campus as well tips on how to support your child at home.

Come join the fun most Fridays in September from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm

We are starting a new system where volunteers can come into the workroom and help teachers with copies, lamination, etc ... Teachers will place their needs inside their folder with specific instructions. When the task is completed, please put inside the teacher's mailbox.

Help Hours:

7:05 - 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.

In order to volunteer, please fill out a Background Check Form and turn it in to the office

Any changes from the usual pickup routine must be called to the front office by 2:30 that day in order for us to notify your child's teacher in a timely manner. Please do not contact your teacher directly in case they don't have afternoon conference, have a sub that day, or happen to miss the message. Contacting the front office helps us make sure everyone involved with after school duty knows of the change.

School is dismissed at 3:10 p.m. every day, please be on time to pick up your students. If you arrive after 3:25 p.m., you will need to come inside the office to sign them out.

Students are encouraged to wear Walker Spirit wear on Wednesdays and support our High School Bulldogs on Fridays.

Do you recognize any of these items? Remind your child to stop by the Lost & Found to retrieve their items. Consider putting their name on the inside of their jackets & hoodies as the cooler weather approaches.

We have enjoyed having lunch visitors come eat with our students. Just a few reminders:

* Bring a picture ID

* Sit at the tables outside the cafeteria labeled for visitors

* You may only eat with your child (no friends, sorry!)

*There is an Adult Bathroom available at the end of the hall for your use

* No Friday Visitors

-Doors Open at 7:05

-Students report to class at 7:25; FIRST BELL @ 7:30

-Tardy Bell Rings at 7:35

Being on time daily is imperative to student success. Instruction begins at 7:35 each day. Students need time to eat their breakfast (if they eat at school), get to class, put their things away, and be in their seats ready to learn by 7:35.

Regular school attendance is essential. Therefore, we want to encourage our students to come to school EVERY DAY! We would like to recognize students that have perfect attendance for the Six Weeks by inviting them to a Glow "Dance" Party and entering them into a drawing for fun prizes.

Thank you for committing yourselves to making sure your student comes to school everyday.

However, we understand illnesses and other unexpected circumstances occur. If your child is out, please notify the school with written documention within (3) days.
