Spring SAT Registration - Juniors!

It is typical for most US high school students to take a college admissions test like the SATs for the first time during the spring of junior year. We strongly recommend AVA juniors and families thinking about college to register for the SATs soon, as spots can fill up very quickly! If you are on the fence, please consider that, in general, it is better to have test scores and not need them than to need scores for a future application(s) and not have them.

Click HERE to register. Click HERE to find and view seat availability for an SAT test location. The Attleboro zip code is 02703. Click HERE for SAT practice exams. Click HERE for more info about SAT fee waivers.Students can bring and use a personal computer, but you must download and install the Collegeboard's Bluebook App weeks prior to the testing date. Click HERE to download Bluebook and learn more. Students who need to borrow a device from College Board will need to register and request their device earlier than the registration deadline—at least 30 days before test day. Click HERE to learn more.

FAFSA

Reminder: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is still currently open, and any AVA senior thinking about or have/will apply to any college or trade school should complete the FAFSA form. Everything needed can be done 100% onilne. Class of 2026 will complete the FAFSA 2026-2027 form. Be sure to first create an FSA ID if you do not have one. Students and at least one parent must each create an individual FSA ID in order to digially sign and complete the FAFSA. The AHS Guidance Dept. will host a FAFSA help night in January (details TBD), but please email Ms Nellie anytime with any questions or for support.

Scholarships

Seniors, remember to check back periodically to the AHS Guidance Dept. scholarships page for a great one-stop-shop list and details of available scholarships and scholarship research tools.

As always, please feel free to email me (nng@attleboroschools.com) with any questions, comments, or concerns. Have a fantastic weekend!
