Homemade Ice Cream Grades 2-4

To wrap up our Physical Science unit, students made homemade ice cream using milk, sugar, vanilla, ice, and salt. They learned how adding salt to the ice makes it colder, helping the liquid mixture freeze into ice cream. It was a fun, hands-on way to explore states of matter and how heat moves from one object to another.
