Aledo Growth Committee Needs Your Feedback!
AGC seeking feedback on 2 conceptual designs for additional high school space: High School No. 2 or a College and Career Academy
The Aledo Growth Committee (AGC) is working with the district to explore what high school learning should look like for future generations of Aledo students. Rather than simply asking when a second high school will be built, the AGC is considering how Aledo ISD can design learning spaces that prepare students for the next 50+ years.
Two concepts have been developed: a College and Career Academy, which would provide advanced academics and career-focused opportunities for all high school students, and a second comprehensive high school, similar to Aledo High School but with modernized, flexible learning environments.
While no bond proposal is being planned, the AGC’s goal is to create conceptual designs for both options so the district is ready when growth demands new high school space. Find more information including the presentation from Thursday's community meeting at aledoisd.org/agc.
The district invites the Aledo community to share feedback and help shape this vision. The deadline to submit feedback is March 25, 2026 at 4:00 pm.
Only in Aledo | Finding Your Future Through CTE
At Aledo ISD, students are discovering their passions and building confidence through hands-on learning that truly makes a difference.
In this latest installment of Only in Aledo, we wrapped up CTE Month highlighting the incredible opportunities available through Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes at Aledo High School. From earning industry based certifications to building leadership and communication skills, our students are gaining real-world experiences that help them find their future.
Hear from seniors Emma Green, Hailey Eubank and Brooke Timms as they share how CTE has helped them grow as learners, leaders and Texans. This is what it means to be All in Aledo. We are proud to provide Exceptional Experiences that help our students grow, lead and succeed.

Safe Gun Storage Saves Lives
Dear Aledo ISD Parents and Guardians:
Texas law requires school districts to distribute information to parents and guardians about the safe storage of firearms. The above information will help you learn about options for, as well as how to talk to your child and others about, the safe storage of firearms.
Remember, a gun should be stored unloaded in a safe or locked container, with ammunition stored elsewhere. You can learn more and find additional resources from the Texas Department of Public Safety at https://safegunstoragetexas.com.
Sincerely,
Aledo ISD Police Chief David Stevens
