The Weekly Update
October 5, 2026
Week of Respect
Monday, October 5 - Friday, October 9
In order to earn house points, students must participate each day. It's easy and so much fun!
LMS School Musical - Beetlejuice, Jr.
Applications Due Thursday, October 15
We are so excited to announce that this year's musical production is Beetlejuice Jr. Any student interested in auditioning for the cast or joining stage crew must complete an application. Applications are available outside room 104 and 301. All applications are due by Thursday, October 15. Any questions? See Mrs. Baill or Mrs. Richardson.
Socktober Has Started
If you are able, please donate new socks to this important community-service drive. Socks are usually the least donated item to folks in need or children entering foster care and the most requested.
Bins for each house will be placed outside the Principal's Office. Students can place the socks in the appropriate house marked bin. Earn house points for each pair of socks donated. Thank you in advance for your generosity; each pair goes a long way to help keep someone's feet warm this winter.
Homework Club Begins This Week
Tuesday, October 6 After School
LMS is pleased to offer Homework Club to students on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until 4:00 pm in room 106. The program will begin Tuesday, October 6th. Students can pick up a registration form in the Main Office. The form is also attached below. Parents/guardians and the student must sign the form. Students will not be permitted to stay without a signed registration form. Please ask your child to return the completed form to the Main Office.
A late bus is available on these days for bus riders. Students who need to use the late bus MUST sign up each of the days during lunch and before 12:45 pm. We are not able to add any student to the bus after 12:45 pm.
The Homework Club is designed to provide students with a quiet area to complete their homework and receive assistance with assignments if needed. On both days a certified teacher is in charge.
All school rules apply during Homework Club. Students are expected to follow the Cardinal Code of being: Respectful, Responsible and Ready. Students who don’t adhere to these expectations will be subject to disciplinary action and/or removal from the program.
If you have any questions, please contact the Main Office. Thank you.
