Back to School Community Newsletter
Dear Students and Families,
We are off to a great start here at CNJJHS. It has been amazing having our students back in the building hustling from class to class, getting to know their teachers, and rekindling friendships.
We have given a planner and a binder to each of our students for use throughout the school day as well as at home. Please take a few minutes each night to go through the binder folders together to encourage and celebrate work completion, We also ask that parents remind their student to bring their planners and binders to school each day. They are used in each class and checked during our CLIMB classes. These efforts are to help all of our students stay on top of their learning and find greater success.
Pressing right now is our need to bring together our CNJJHS Community Council. If you are interested in getting involved with your students education, this is a great way to do it. Applications are due this Tuesday, September 1. Check below for details.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL
It is time again to create this year's Community Council.
Applications are due to the office TODAY-September 1!
We have two community member positions open on our Community Council. This group of leaders and influencers helps the school manage the State Land Trust funds and align them to our academic goals. Please fill out and return an application today! Applications are due Tuesday, September 1st We need your voice!
Elections (if needed) will be held Thursday, September 3 - Monday, September 7.
Look for an email Wednesday, September 2, to vote!
Update your Immunizations
Upon entry to junior high, ALL students are required to have new immunizations in order to attend. Please provide proof of Tdap and Meningococcal Conjugate immunizations immediately. We are legally required to send students home who do not have up-to-date immunizations. This will be taking place on September 11.
Pick up Lane
For the safety of all of our students, we ask that you pick up your child in front of the school in the drive-thru lane--NOT ON THE STREET. Our drive-thru lane generally has ample space to quickly get in and out.
Student Check out
We also remind parents that to check out your child during the school day, you must physically come to the office with ID. We do not check out students based on phone calls or by individuals not listed on your student's Skyward account.
Visitor/Parent Check in
All adults who enter the building (other than staff) must check in in the office and receive a visitors pass. This includes before and after-school hours.
Our PTSA--Parent, Teacher, Student Association--is a great way to get involved with our jaguar community. They serve our school in multiple ways and ultimately help all of our students find greater success. If you would like be a part of our Jaguar PTSA, use the QR code here. Looking Back * Looking Forward
Thank you to all who joined us for our 20th Anniversary Celebration on August 17. We will continue this theme throughout the year as we look back on the great things of the past 20 years and instill characteristics in our jaguar students that will carry them through the next 20 years and beyond. We continue to impress our 4 R's--Respectful, Responsible, Reliable, & Resilient--upon our students to help them become our true vision of a jaguar with limitless potential. Students, wear your jaguar t-shirts to show your pride.
