Home Connection Report - mClass and mClass Lectura (Grades K - 6)

Parent-teacher conferences are a great time to share the information that you have from mClass and mClass Lecture if you have not already done so. The Home Connect report, which is available in both English and Spanish, not only outlines how students performed, it also gives parents suggestions for how to help students at home. Click here to see a first grade example. In addition to the Home Connect report, parents also have access to the mClass Home Connect website. This houses all of the reading activities that parents could use at home to help their students. Directions on how to access the mClass Home Connect materials are provided here.

Caregiver Letters - Amplify

The Amplify Caregiver Letters for October were shared with families via our Parent Resource Newsletter on October 12, 2023. These letters provide an overview of what texts students will be reading as well as what they will specifically be learning in the unit. There are also conversation starters for families to use in order to promote discussion and continued learning at home. You are encouraged to share the letters as well with your families.

Resources for Parent Teacher Conferences

As we approach Parent-Teacher conferences, we would like to share some resources available in iReady that you can use with parents to discuss a student’s diagnostic scores and how parents can help monitor their student’s work on their individualized pathway. These resources could be helpful for you as you prepare to facilitate conversations with families.

Individualized Pathway Reminder

It is an expectation that students complete at least 30 minutes a week on their Individualized Pathways in iReady. Pathways should not be used as the only curriculum; it is used for augmentation, remediation and enrichment. Students should not be doing more than two lessons a week.
