Our MVPs for the week!
These students are shining examples of what it means to be a Wildcat and follow the Washington Way!
Wildcat Skills
This week students will be taking care of a problem. They will learn how and when it is appropriate for them to take care of a problem themselves and when it is necessary to get help with a problem.
Take Care of a Problem
1. Stop and think about the situation.
2. Decide, "Is this hurting someone, putting them in danger or embarrassing someone?"
If the answer is "No"
- Use a calm voice
- Ask the person, "Will you please stop?"
- Tell them why you would like them to stop
If the answer is "Yes"
- Use a calm voice
- Speak to an adult privately
- Tell the adult what exactly is happening
- Tell why it is hurting, dangerous or embarrassing
- Do not talk about the situation with other classmates
Why should we follow these steps?
To keep ALL students safe
To learn to take care of our problems
To stop gossip about others
To get the appropriate help for others
