The Principal's Corner
🎃Happy October BCES Families!🎃
Fall is my favorite season! I love the crisp morning and evening air, the changing landscape, football season, and incorporating all things apple and pumpkin into my diet. This is the time we start enjoying field trips and fall festivals in the school.
We are almost at the end of the first nine weeks and getting ready for our first Pirate Treasure Day Celebration. Your students have been working hard on their attendance, ii-Ready lessons, behavior-safe, responsible, and respectful, and leadership to gain their pirate coins. We also will be having our first Nine Weeks Battle of the Castles competition results.
Before the celebrations begin, we want to wish all of our BCES families a wonderful Fall Break.

KSA Results
The KSA is a state assessment that is given to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students in May. We received the results this week and are so excited to share that we were in the GREEN status. I am so overwhelmingly proud of the students and staff for the hard work they have put in. It is so nice to see that hard work pays off. We will be having a reward ceremony for the students that scored proficient and distinguished in November. You can see the total results on the School Report Card online on October 20th but will share some overall growth with everyone.
Reading and Math: Growth: 14.8 points
Science, Social Studies, and Writing: Growth: 19.2 points
