Student Spotlighht
This month's student's name is Jose Tabares. He currently holds a Georgia District state position as Lieutenant Governor of Divsison 6. He is a senior at MVHS.
Jose wrote on his experience of presenting at the 100th Key Club International Convention in Orlando, Florida this past July.
"My workshop title was Building Bridges, Not Walls: The Power of Trust. This workshop focused on the importance of fostering a strong sense of trust in order to build connections with your communities and those around you. The room quickly filled to capacity and all 100 seats were taken. The students were able to interact with one another and discuss new strategies they had learned. They could also bring back this new learning back to their home, school, and communities. It was an awesome experience and I am glad I had the honor in representing Mountain View High School & the Georgia District of Key Club International while Key Club celebrated a Century of Service."

Student Accident Insurance
Is your child a student in GCPS? If so, you may want to consider the purchase of Student Accident Insurance. Student Accident Insurance, which provides coverage specifically for accidental injuries, is made available through our partnership with K & K Insurance. The plan, which has several coverage options, is best used as a supplement to your child’s existing insurance policies. Because GCPS does not cover injuries that occur at school, we encourage parents to consider this reasonably priced insurance product.
For full details about the K & K Student Accident Insurance program, including coverage options and pricing, please review the information provided below:
To apply for coverage online or report a claim, visit the K & K Insurance website.
