BULLDOGBULLETINDecember 6, 2024

Sarah Adams Families,

I hope this message finds you all well as we move closer to the holiday season. It’s a wonderful time to celebrate the kindness and generosity that makes our school such a special place!

I want to give a huge shout-out to our 2nd and 5th-grade teams for organizing a tremendously successful food drive to support our local food pantry. Their efforts brought in a generous amount of food, and it was heartwarming to see our community come together to make a difference. Thank you to everyone who contributed!

As we approach the winter months, I’d like to remind families to please inform the school if your child has any health concerns we should be aware of. This helps us provide the best possible support for your student and maintain a healthy learning environment for everyone. Please feel free to reach out to the school nurse or main office if you need assistance or have questions.

Lastly, a big thank you to our 4th and 5th-grade student leadership club for their creativity and dedication! They’ve been hard at work planning fun spirit days for the final two weeks before our winter break. Their enthusiasm and teamwork bring so much positive energy to our school, and I can’t wait to see everyone’s school spirit on display. Please see below for details!

Warm regards,

Dr. Colleen Conway

REMINDER! PARENT/CAREGIVER EXPERIENCE SURVEY

As part of our commitment to providing continuous service excellence to our families and our community, we are conducting a survey in partnership with Studer Education. Your feedback will help us determine what is working well in your child’s school and any areas that may need improvement.

The survey takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. We encourage you to complete it in one sitting, as your responses will be saved once you click submit. The survey will ask you to select your child’s school, and you can complete a separate survey for each of the schools your children attend.

The Parent/Caregiver Experience Survey can be accessed here:

  • Lake Zurich Community Unit School District 95 – Parent/Caregiver Experience Survey

  • QR Code link is below

The survey is scheduled for Monday, November 18 through Thursday, December 12

To maintain confidentiality of the Parent/Caregiver Experience Survey, our partners at Studer Education will be administering the survey, managing the data collection, and aggregating the data to provide results reports to leaders.

Thank you for your commitment to our success!

Safety Reminder

We kindly remind all parents and caregivers to please drive carefully and follow speed limits on school property and in the surrounding neighborhood. Many of our students walk, ride bikes, or use scooters to get to and from school, and their safety is our top priority.

Please be mindful of crosswalks, follow posted speed limits, and avoid distractions such as cell phones while driving. This is especially important during busy times before and after school. Together, we can ensure that everyone gets to school and home safely.

Reunification Information for Families

The safety and security of students, staff, families and community members is a top priority in District 95. In an effort to provide more information to families regarding district emergency preparedness, additional information has been added to the Safety & Security webpage regarding our reunification planning. Families should select the “Reunification” dropdown from the Safety & Security page to learn more.

Undesignated Medication Notification

Student and staff health and wellness is a top priority in District 95. In accordance with state law, schools maintain a supply of undesignated medications (medications that can be administered to any person) for use in emergency situations.

In addition to information included in the Parent-Student Handbook related to undesignated asthma and epinephrine medications, please see the form linked HERE to learn more about the district’s supply of opioid antagonists for use in emergency situations.

Any additional questions related to the maintenance of undesignated medications may be directed to Dr. Lauren McArdle, Assistant Superintendent for Student Services, Administrative Services, and Operations (lauren.mcardle@lz95.org).
