Take Your Child to Work Day Take Your Child to Work Day

Though the official national celebration is on April 25, 2024, Pasco Schools will recognize the event on April 26, 2024, as to limit the impact on required testing.

Site administrators will determine if students can miss school to accompany their parents to work and if employees will be permitted to bring their school-age children with them. The recommended age for participation is children from 3rd to 8th grade; children under five are deemed too young for the workplace. Ultimately, the site administrator will make the final decision regarding the suitability of the child’s age for the workplace.

With this in mind, the district will use the same process used in the past:

  • Parents who wish to take their daughter or son out of school to participate in the event must arrange the student’s absence with the principal and teacher(s).
  • District employees who plan to bring their child to work on Friday, April 26, 2024, need to coordinate their child’s absence with the school principal and teachers in advance, and obtain approval from their site administrator.

If you have any questions regarding this event, please contact your child's school.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF CURRENT 6TH GRADERS - (7th graders for 2024-2025 school year)

One of the requirements for all 7th graders to attend school is to have the Tdap immunization. Please take your child to your physician or local Health Department for the necessary immunization.

Return the required certificate of immunization (DOH680 form) to the school so we can document it in our records. Submit the documentation as soon as possible to avoid missed class time at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Please contact our School Nurse Rheanna Caselius at rcaseliu@pasco.k12.fl.us if you have any questions.
