There are 20 teams and 6 teams will play in the first 2 weeks of the challenge for a spot in the Sweet Sixteen that will begin March 1 - 7, 2026. The Final Four tournament for minutes will be March 15 - 21, 2026. The winners will be determined by the average number of minutes per student. Therefore all students will be important to the winning reading minutes. We are about 450,000 minutes away from ONE MILLION MINUTES so lets get this challenge (ps…..next year we are upping the minutes to 2 MILLION with the addition of monthly challenges).
- Upcoming 9th Grade Registration - Families of 8th grade students will soon receive registration documents for high school course selection from your middle school counselors. Please review all the current PCS Program of Studies 2026-27 for more details on course offerings, course descriptions, graduation requirements, and so much more. This will help to prepare a plan for graduation and a pathway for success in the course registration process. PCS Course Level Overview will help families understand the difference between a standard course, an honors course, an Advanced Placement (AP) course, and a college level (CFCC) course and the expectations.
iHEAL (Interdisciplinary Health Education for Aspiring Leaders) is a FREE overnight summer camp for rising 9th graders from surrounding counties. iHEAL exposes campers to healthcare opportunities and careers through interactive healthcare simulations and is made possible by Novant Health, UNC School of Medicine and UNC Health.
Please mark your calendars!
