Coyote Connection

Dear Reidy Creek Families,

This week, we launched our Bubble Run Fundraiser with a fun Kick-Off Assembly on Thursday morning. Below are some pictures of the event. It was filled with skits, prize announcements, and of course, bubbles! The Coyote Bubble Run, which will be held on Thursday, October 3rd, is PTA’s main school fundraiser. This year, we have a goal of raising $55,000. All funds raised benefit our students and staff.

So far, we've already raised over $8,000, which is truly remarkable! In addition to all students receiving a Reidy Creek Bubble Run shirt, there are great prizes to win (Legoland tickets, bike, etc.), and each student will get a Coyote Spirit Pack with their first donation.

Please spread the word to your family and friends and help us reach our goals so that we earn class prizes (ice cream and pizza party), have a fun Farmyard Faceoff, and even slime me! The PTA will also be holding a drawing for Family Night Out Packages for students who raise $100 or more. One student will even get the chance to be Principal for the Day!

If you're interested in donating, please scan the QR code on the flyer that went home yesterday or visit: 99pledges.com/fund/rcbubblerun. Search for your student’s personal donation page by first name and the first two letters of their last name. You can also share your student’s personal page with friends and family via email, social media or by providing them the 99pledges link.

As a reminder, picture day for all students is on Monday, so don't forget to have your child dress their best!

On Friday October 25th, we will be hosting our second annual Boo Bash! This event will be held from 6pm-8pm and will have games, crafts, food, music, and, of course, candy. For this event to be a success, we need parent volunteers to help prepare activities, run games, and clean up. If you are interested in helping with any part of this event, please sign up here. You will be contacted within the next few weeks with more details. This event is not possible without the help of parent volunteers.

As a reminder, please do not double park in our parking lot during arrival or dismissal. We have had a few occasions where staff or parent's cars have been blocked in and they aren't able to leave.

If you are coming on campus for any reason, such as Shining Star Awards, FAVE Projects, or volunteering in the classroom, please make sure to check in at the front office to get your visitor pass. Also, all visitors must leave from the front office and not through any of our side gates.

The Escondido Union School District is pleased to continue to offer the Gifted and Talented Education program. For GATE identification, all 2nd-grade students will have the opportunity to participate in universal screening in November. In addition, parents and teachers may recommend students not previously screened in grades 3 through 8 to be screened for GATE eligibility.

Parents can pick up the Parent Background and Input Form in our school’s front office after September 30th and should return it to the office by Friday, October 18. Our school team will review requests and determine which students will be eligible to be screened in November.
