Dear Rocket Families,
I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend especially Sunday's weather!!! Last week we had a very busy but WONDERFUL time celebrating Polar Express Day and Grinch Day!! ALL of our students had the chance to ride the train, meet with Santa and enjoy warm cocoa and cookies!!! A special thank you to Suzanne Cooper for spearheading this wonderful day and all the staff who helped make it possible!!!
We also had two special visitors make a return to Rutherfordton Elementary. They were delivered by the Post Man on Monday - our school Elves - Rocky and Starla. They sure get themselves into all kinds of situations and the students love seeing if they can spot them and what they are up to each day!
This week is VERY IMPORTANT as we will be doing our Middle Of the Year Assessments! Please ensure your children are ON TIME and PRESENT each DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have several remaining exciting events ahead!!!
- Thank you for ALL your help with selling Raffle Tickets. We were able to raise over $11,000!!!! We will do our drawing early - Wednesday - so stay TUNED!!!!
- Please see below for our Happy Holidays Events at RES - students will not want to miss our remaining activities: Rudolph Day and the holiday party day!
- Our PTO will sponsor the Holiday Hut during the week of December 16-19. Items will be available for students to purchase for $2 each. The holiday hut is ONLY for students. Parents/Guardians will not be allowed to help students shop in the Holiday Hut. Students will shop with their classes and during available class times EACH day!
