Digital Citizenship
By definition, Digital Citizen is the norms of appropriate, responsible behavior with regard to the use of technology (NYSED State Standards Glossary of Terms, MDESE, 2016). We encourage this daily interactions with students.
We also emphasize the digital footprint which is the trail of data that one creates when being online. It includes websites, emails, and information that is collected.
In one internet minute in 2023, students and adults engage in a variety of technological tasks! This is a great graphic to share about how we are inundated with technology all the time. Below are some resources to talk to your students about being a good digital citizen, and what is a digital footprint.
