PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Hello Big Creek Families!

Tardy to School

Please remember, if your child is not to school and in the building by 9:10AM, you need to walk your child to the office and sign him/her in for attendance. Thank you for your help with this.

Stay in the Game - Attendance

Did you know that being absent just two days every month eventually equates to missing one full year of school by graduation? Attendance matters! On March 5th, we will Chomps from the Cleveland Browns and other Browns volunteers at Big Creek to participate in a special reading event with select students and/or classrooms. In addition, we have lots of Browns "swag" that we will be giving away to students based on their attendance. Most importantly, students with good attendance are receiving classroom instruction every day that can't be replicated through makeup work. Do your best to stay healthy and stay in game by coming to school!

Yearbooks

Yearbooks are on sale now! See the flyer below for all the information. Order early to avoid a higher price. No orders will be accepted after March 15th. There is NO guarantee that there will be extra yearbooks to purchase at the end of the year so if you want to be sure your child(ren) get one, order before March 15th (order before Feb. 29th and the cost is $28 per yearbook - after that the cost is $33 per yearbook)

Big Creek Fun Run Fundraiser

Please mark your calendars for the Big Creek Booster Fun Run Fundraiser! Our fundraiser will kick of on May 7th with the final event - the Fun Run - happening on May 15th. More information will be coming in the near future - including opportunities to help during the Fun Run. For now, mark you calendars for this FUN Fundraiser! All proceeds will be used for PBIS activities, incentives, assemblies, field trips and rewards for our Big Creek students!!

Have a great week,

Ms. Kubec

YOU'RE THE SPRINKLES ON TOP STAFF AWARDS

Everyone loves a good dessert, but it is always better with sprinkles on top. The sprinkles go above and beyond to make the dessert stand out.

Is there a staff member at Big Creek who has gone above and beyond in some way? If so, you can help us to recognize that staff member with a You're the Sprinkles on Top Award!

All you need to do is fill out this FORM explaining why the staff member is "the sprinkles on top" and Ms. Kubec will recognize and reward that staff member.

"Sprinkles on Top" Award winners will be featured in future newsletters.

The district has fortunately been approached by numerous groups and individuals that would like to financially contribute towards students' negative account balances. The district has created a Lunch Heroes Program that will allow anyone to make a donation towards negative breakfast and lunch balances. These funds will be applied at the end of the school year, dispersed evenly to each school, unless a school is specified on the donation form.

Donations can remain anonymous. To donate, complete this form and either mail or drop it off to:
