A Message from the Library: A Message from the Library:

As a reminder, MHS does not permit Bring Your Own Device (BYOD). All students are expected to use their district-issued Chromebook for classroom activities, assessments, and other school-related technology needs.

Using district-issued devices helps ensure that students have access to the programs, security settings, filtering, testing tools, and technical support required throughout the school day. Please encourage your student to bring their school-issued Chromebook to school each day and make sure it is fully charged.

Please contact your child's associate principal if you have any questions.

Reminders and Things that were in Past Newsletters: Reminders and Things that were in Past Newsletters:

🏥 Reminder from the Health Room:

If your child is missing any required vaccinations or if the school does not have your child’s updated records on file, our health office has likely already attempted to reach out to you via phone, email, or letter.

Please take a moment to double-check your child's records. If you have received a notification from us, or if you know your child is due for a vaccine or vaccine booster, please connect with your pediatrician or local health clinic as soon as possible. Once completed, please remember to send a copy of the updated immunization record directly to the school health room.

We respect your personal choices and privacy regarding vaccines. If you have not yet gotten your child vaccinated for any reason (even if it is scheduled), please see “step 4” on the attached form Immunization Record. Please fill it out, sign it, and send it back to school so we can update our records. Thank you for your help.

PARENTS OF SENIORS: Post-Secondary Planning & Important Upcoming Dates

As we begin this important year for your student, we want to share key dates and opportunities related to post-secondary planning. Our goal is to ensure that every senior feels supported and prepared for life after high school—whether that includes college, technical school, the military, or exploring other pathways.

Topics: Application Process, Open Houses, Scholarships, Apprenticeship Opportunities.

West Veterans Way Detour Information

Beginning Monday, September 28, the Village of Mukwonago will close West Veterans Way west of Highway 83 to all traffic for construction. The closure is expected to last approximately three weeks.

During the closure, traffic will need to follow the posted detour:

Highway 83 south → Eagle Lake Avenue (Highway LO) west → Highway I north → Highway NN

Please see the map below for the detour route.

We are working closely with the bus company and police to help with the flow of traffic.

Please plan for additional travel time when coming to school, as the detour may add time to your commute and may increase traffic around the school and in the parking lot.

We will share any additional information we receive from the Village as the project gets closer.

26-27 Yearbook Distribution Plans:

We are excited to share an update regarding our yearbook distribution schedule. Beginning this school year, MHS will transition to a spring yearbook distribution, with books being handed out during the last week of school.

This change allows us to create a new tradition as students wrap up the school year together. Distributing yearbooks before summer gives students the opportunity to sign one another's books, share memories, and celebrate the end of the school year as a community.

The new distribution schedule also allows us to make some improvements to the content of the yearbook. Because spring sports and prom will be featured in the following year's edition, we are able to dedicate more pages in this year's book to student life, clubs, organizations, and other activities.

We understand that our graduating seniors may wonder how end-of-year events will be recognized. Seniors who purchase a yearbook will receive a complimentary senior supplement after graduations that highlights commencement and other memorable events from the end of the school year. This insert can be easily placed inside their yearbook, allowing seniors to have those special memories preserved as well.

We believe this new approach will create a yearbook that better represents our entire student body while also providing a memorable end-of-year experience. Thank you for your continued support of our yearbook program. We look forward to creating a book full of memories this year!

👉🏻 Senior Photo Reminders

Senior pictures must be submitted via this link by SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2026. Many photographers will submit your photo for you so make sure that they know the deadline AND that your appointment is early enough for pictures to be available before the deadline. We also cannot use a photo with your photographer's logo on it. Please request that they honor this.

Please follow these guidelines when submitting your senior photo:

Image file format

  • Image must be submitted in digital format

  • Image Resolution: 300 DPI or higher at 2 ½” X 3 ½”

  • File Size = approx. 1000 Kb (Slightly smaller sizes are okay; Larger sizes work)

  • Image file format = .jpg

  • Color = CMYK (Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Black) format is preferred

Image Standards

  • Your face should be the focal point of the image. Full-body photos are accepted; however, waist-up portraits generally reproduce best in the yearbook. All photos may be cropped as needed to fit the yearbook's design and image dimensions, which may result in portions of the photo being removed.

  • No other individuals, pets or props included in the photograph.

  • Appropriate dress as defined by Mukwonago School District’s Code of Conduct and the MHS School’s Dress Code.

  • Student-submitted senior portraits must meet the image requirements and receive final approval from the yearbook adviser and/or administration.

Any questions, please email Jayme Pruszka at pruszja@masd.k12.wi.us. Thank you.
