Dear Parents and Carers,
What a busy and brilliant half term it has been!
From Parents' Evenings and charity fundraisers to big builds, special visitors, and reading audits—there has been so much for us to celebrate.
Welly Storage & Outdoor Play
Our new welly storage will be ready when we return after the break. Please ensure your child brings a pair of clearly named wellies and waterproofs to school. If getting hold of these is a struggle, please let your child’s class teacher know—we have spare sets in our Forest School stash that we are very happy to share.
We are also excited to welcome our OPAL mentor on Tuesday 3rd November to review everything we have achieved so far. Fingers crossed for our official OPAL accreditation!
Settling In & Growing Together
It has been a real privilege spending time with your children this half term, and I enjoy learning more about them with each passing day. A special mention goes to our new Reception children, who have settled in remarkably well—guided so wonderfully by their Year 6 buddies, who have done a fantastic job looking out for them.
Whatever your plans are for the break, I hope it brings you whatever you need to rest and recharge. I’m certainly looking forward to some quality family time—and a bit of extra sleep!
Best wishes,
Mel Walmsley
Headteacher
