Moment of Silence
In accordance with a new Idaho state law, all TFSD schools will implement a 60-second moment of silence at the start of each school day. In alignment with this legislation, classroom teachers will not provide instruction or guidance regarding the purpose or use of this time. We ask that parents and caregivers take the lead in having conversations with their children about how your family would like them to utilize this quiet moment to prepare for the school day.
Student Drop Off
Supervision on the playground starts at 7:35 am. We will have 2-3 staff members outside to help students on the playground or blacktop until school starts.
Please make sure your child arrives after 7:35 am. Students can enter the building through the back doors (by the blacktop) at 7:35 am to have breakfast in the cafeteria. They must arrive by 7:50 am to receive breakfast.
All parent drop-offs must occur on Castleford St before the start of school. Students should not be dropped in the office before the start of school.
Please be courteous, the section of Castleford between 3 Ave N and 2 Ave N is reserved for parents who prefer to just drop their child off and leave. This section is not for long term parking.
If you are late, and your child will be tardy, after 8:05, please sign your child in at the front office.
Child Nutrition Services
If you’d like to volunteer at Lincoln Elementary—whether it’s reading to kids, helping on field trips, assisting on the playground, or supporting classroom parties—you must complete the TFSD volunteer form first. Please use the button below to fill out the form. This form needs to be completed every three years. It usually takes a few days to process, so please submit the form a few days before your planned volunteer activity to ensure you’re cleared in time. If you’re unsure whether you’re already on the list or if it’s time for you to update your form, call the office at (208) 733-1321, and we can check for you.
At Lincoln Elementary, both breakfast and lunch are free for all students.
Milk $0.75
Adult Breakfast: $3.30
Adult Lunch $5.50
During lunch, bags of candy, chips, and other additional food items are not permitted for students
eating a school lunch. These items make it difficult for students to safely carry their lunch trays and
can create congestion when students are finished eating and trying to find a place to dispose of
unfinished food or containers. Students who bring a home lunch may include reasonable portions of snack items as part of their meal.
Volunteers
We love welcoming parents and community members into our school community and deeply appreciate your willingness to share your time and talents with our students and staff! If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to the office or your student's teacher. To help us ensure a smooth and secure environment, all volunteers simply need to complete a quick background check online through the district website, and remember to stop by the office for a visitor sticker each time you arrive.
As a gentle note to keep our classrooms focused and learning environments distraction-free, while also ensuring the safety of your youngest little ones, we kindly ask that preschool-aged children stay home during your volunteer shifts. Thank you so much for your partnership in making our school a wonderful place to learn and grow!
Attendance
Your student's presence matters. We are so grateful to welcome your child into our school community every single day. We know that life has many moving parts, and we want our school to be a steady, joyful place where your child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn. Every day they are in the classroom brings new opportunities to discover something wonderful, build friendships, and grow with confidence. We are always here to partner with you, celebrate your child's successes, and help make getting to school each morning as smooth and positive as possible. Your family is an important part of our community, and we are looking forward to a fantastic school year together!
If your student is absent, please notify the office at (208) 733-1321. Alternatively, you can send an email to your student's teacher by using the staff directory.
