Principal's Message Principal's Message

zoom_out_map

Good evening, Bruin families-

I want to thank everyone who reported the social media posts that were circulating last weekend, and take a moment to remind everyone to report instead of reposting. We need your help in keeping our schools safe:

  • Report ALL safety concerns to us or law enforcement so they can be investigated
  • Don't post or repost false information or rumors online

Please take a moment to discuss with your student and review the See Something/Say Something service that can be found in this newsletter. This service can be used to report, in addition to reporting to a school administrator, or Stockton police department.

Sincerely-

Principal

Julie Hummel

School Site Council Election Ballot School Site Council Election Ballot

Each year we elect parent members to our school councils. We are currently electing new members to serve on our School Site Council. The BCHS School Site Council (SSC) is an elected body with the important role of overseeing the School Plan, ensuring it supports the goals of the school and district, and assessing periodically the effectiveness of the program. There are five (5) parent openings on the School Site Council.
Please vote once. The five parents with the highest number of votes will be elected to BCHS SSC. These meetings are open to the public and all parents are welcome to attend.

The Bruin Way Awards - Postponed The Bruin Way Awards - Postponed

Out of an abundance of caution, we postponed the Bruins Way Awards until after the two-week break.

We know this is a special event that students, families, and staff alike look forward to each year, and that this postponement may be a disappointment.

We want our community to be able to enjoy the event without concern, and the safety threats circulating online the past week may detract from the joyous intent of the awards night.

We will send additional communication as we get closer to the new date for the Bruin Way Awards night. We thank you for your patience and understanding. Safety will always be our central priority and we look forward to celebrating alongside our students and families after the two week break.

September is School Attendance Month September is School Attendance Month
