The FINAL Webster Weekly
June 12, 2024
WEbster Nation,
I can still hear DJ Joel blasting "Don't Cry Out Loud" as it echoed down Winter Canyon Road this morning. To heck with it, I'm gonna go ahead and cry out loud. Thank you, WEbster, for filling my heart with more love than I could ever have imagined. You shared your most valuable treasures with me these last two years, these unstoppable kids. For that, I will be forever grateful. Don't stop. Take this momentum and keep on truckin'. Continue to lean into student engagement. Continue to focus on love and joy. Education should not be about pain and drudgery and as a community working together with staff, you can keep it from ever feeling that way here at Webster. I believe in you.
To this staff...all of you, I love you with my whole heart. Thanks for being willing to step outside of your comfort zone and join me on this journey. We're counting on you to keep it going. Looking forward to bigger, wilder, more innovative EXPOs in the years to come. You are the heart of this place...keep it together.
I will love you all forever. Thank you.
With so much love and deep gratitude,
- Tedd

PICTURE OF THE WEEK
Dax kicks off an amazing graduation day for our 5th graders. Go out there and make us proud, you wild and wonderful bunch of amazing kiddos! Webster is gonna miss you so much!
PTA VIMEO PAGE
Just a little BTW...ALL of our Webster videos from the last two years live permanently on our Webster PTA Vimeo page: https://vimeo.com/user102242081 It was brought to my attention recently that some of you did not know that. There's all kinds of great stuff here from the last few years...when you have a moment this summer, peek around for some great memories.
THE CLASS OF 2024
What an absolutely beautiful morning we had together as we sent our 5th graders off to middle school. I feel so grateful to have been able to share in the lives of such an awesome bunch of kids...you are truly special. We are so proud of who you have become and know you will continue to build character on your new adventures. As you go forward, normalize kindness...normalize joy. Be good to yourselves and others. We will miss you all terribly.
Never forget...everything you want in life, all the good stuff...is waiting for you on
the other side of fear.
Thank you to Cindy Ransier and Michelle Wolfe and the team of parents who have helped to make the end of the year for our 5th graders so special.
TO KINDERGARTEN AND BEYOND
Our beloved TK is off to Kindergarten! We’ve had a beautiful year of learning, exploration, discovery, and developing JOY and CONFIDENCE in “the big school!!” Together we built a safe, happy, exciting environment, to foster critical adaptable thinkers! Who love to learn through purposeful play, inquiry, problem solving, and working together! We embarked on project-based learning, embracing the creation of our book Love and Learning by The Ocean, and pollinators galore! TK is mighty and ready for great adventures ahead!!! We send them off with all our love! My classroom door will always be open for an ear to listen, or a hug, or a snack (to parents too!)!
As Mr. Tedd says “Chase joy” my little sparkly treasures! Your forever teacher, love you to pieces,
xoxoxo Miss Papale.
A special note to Mr. Tedd. Thank you for your consistent readiness to hug us, read a story, or share your deep-sea diving adventures, especially with hammerhead sharks! Thank you for loving, and igniting, and supporting TK. We squealed with joy, and ran to you, whenever you entered our room! Thank you for making us feel so safe and happy. We will love you forever.
FUN IN THE SUN!
The pictures probably say it all!! What a day we had here on campus Tuesday for our annual Field Day. Kuddos to Captain Kyle Mlodzik who planned an unforgettable day of activities for our students. With his team of Whale-Dads, he put on the best Field Day in Webster history! Teams donning 4 different colors and mixed with kids from all grade levels competed in a variety of activities and events. It all ended in a beautiful water balloon extravaganza. Seriously, soooo much fun. Miss Neci rolled out the BBQ and Phil Buckman, man of many talents, made burgers and dogs happen for the whole school. Thanks to everyone who helped make this an awesome end to an awesomer year!! (yep, "awesomer")
A FINAL EXCURSION
While the rest of us were here enjoying Field Day here on campus, our graduates were up at Zuma having a blast in the sand. While I'm glad that everyone who was there was super engaged on not holding their phones, it doesn't lend itself to enough pictures for the newsletter. Here's what we got!
MILESTONES EVERYWHERE
Congratulations to our Kindergartners! You are off and ready for big things next year. Thanks to Mrs. Berman and Mrs. Murdock (The Webster BuCrew) for leading our littles through another amazing year of curiosity and wonder. So nice to see all our parents gathered for a beautiful final event in Poet's Park.
HARE RAISING EXPERIENCE
The last in a long line of legends, Hero kept Webster buzzing these last few weeks by planting little plastic bunnies all over campus. After Ms. Lockwood kicked things off with the Duck Dynasty, Miss Papale greened our pastures with Frog Frivolity. Rounding out the trio, Hero took a stab at spreading some joy and wonder with her Bunny Bonanza. Thanks for keeping Webster playful, Hero!!
OUR 5TH AND FINAL VOLUME
Our sincere thanks to Ms. Lockwood and her 2nd grade journalists for such a cool addition to the Webster vibe this year. You guys did such a great job with your newsletter. We've enjoyed each and every volume and can't wait to see the future impacts of such an engaging and enlightening educational experience. Callie...your spirit will live on forever in the echoes of Poet's Park!! "Spin the wheel!!!!"
