Thank you to the Community of Inland Lakes Schools
Dear Inland Lakes Community,
As we look back at the last two summers of construction, I want to take a moment to say thank you.
Because of the support of our community and the passage of our bond, Inland Lakes Schools has undergone an incredible transformation. Over the last two summers, a tremendous amount of work has taken place across our district. Our buildings and grounds have been updated and improved to provide safer, more modern, and more welcoming spaces for our students and staff.
Our bond was focused on keeping Inland Lakes Schools Safe, Warm, and Dry, while also investing in opportunities for our students. We have accomplished so much.
Some of the major improvements completed through the bond include:
Renovations and updates to classrooms and learning spaces throughout the district
Improvements to roofing and building exteriors
Heating and building control upgrades
New LED lighting and other energy-efficient improvements
Updated security camera systems throughout the district
Improvements to building entrances and overall school security
Paving and drainage improvements
Elementary playground improvements
New and updated classroom furniture
Improvements to the high school gym exterior
Updates to interior spaces, hallways, and common areas
Replacement and improvement of drinking water stations
Development and renovation of our Career and Technical Education spaces
New learning spaces and equipment to support PowerSports and Construction Trades
Improvements that provide safer, more modern, and more welcoming learning environments for our students and staff
These improvements are about much more than new flooring, lighting, furniture, roofs, or equipment. They are investments in our students and in the future of Inland Lakes Schools.
One of the most exciting parts of this work has been seeing our CTE spaces come together. These spaces provide students with hands-on learning experiences and opportunities to develop skills that can lead directly to careers, additional training, and college. As we continue to expand CTE opportunities at Inland Lakes, the investment our community made through this bond has provided an important foundation for that work.
I also want to recognize everyone who helped make these projects possible. Thank you to our Board of Education, staff, students, families, construction partners, architects, contractors, and everyone who worked behind the scenes over the last two summers. Completing this amount of work in such a short period of time required a tremendous amount of teamwork, planning, and flexibility.
Most importantly, thank you to our Inland Lakes community. You trusted us with this investment in our schools, and we do not take that responsibility lightly. Your support has allowed us to make improvements that will benefit Inland Lakes students for many years to come.
It has been incredible to watch our buildings transform over the last two summers, but it is even more exciting to think about what will happen inside these spaces for years to come.
We are proud of our schools, proud of our students, and incredibly thankful to be part of a community that continues to support Inland Lakes.
Thank you for investing in our Bulldogs and in the future of Inland Lakes Schools!
Go Bulldogs!
