9.19.25 Family Message
Greetings Gearity Families:
Thank you to all the men who were able to bring their children to school on Thursday for the Father's Walk. We had 122 participants which is amazing! Even if you could not attend, you can still show your students how much you value and education by having them read to you every night or help with homework. We appreciate all you do!
No School Tuesday: the District will be closed on Tuesday so students and staff can celebrate Rosh Hashanah. We will have school Monday as well as Wed - Fri.
The first PAWS assemblies will take place on Friday the 26th. Each teacher is able to recognize five students who are meeting our PAWS expectations and honoring our monthly Character Strong attribute. PAWS stands for Personal Best, Acts Responsibly, Works and plays safely, and Shows Respect. Our September attribute is responsibility. Students who are recognized will receive a certificate and take a picture with their homeroom teacher. We hold our assemblies each month on the 4th Friday so if your student is not recognized this month they will have many other changes.
Fall Fest: University Heights Fall Fest will return to The Walt (Walter Stinson Community Park, 2301 Fenwick Rd, University Heights, OH 44118, USA) on Sunday, September 21 from noon to 5 p.m. As is the festival's tradition, they will have live entertainment, activities for the kids, and food trucks. But each year, the stars of Fall Fest are the artists, vendors, and makers who set up shop at the event. Hope you can attend!
PTA: Please consider joining the PTA! Our September meeting is Wednesday and will start at 6:30. You can log in to the Google Meet here. We will be planning for the Book Fair in November and are hoping we can get a few more officers as we would like to have co-officers for each position. Thanks in advance!
