Principal Message
Happy Summer! I hope your summer is off to a great start! A few reminders:
~ Progress Reports: The end-of-year elementary progress reports are in Infinite Campus and ready for your viewing. Here are the directions to view Elementary Progress Reports in Infinite Campus.
~ Save the Date & Mark Your Calendar: We are again hosting a summer Wildcat Reading Event at Spring Lake Pool THIS Sunday, June 22 from 6:15-7:45. This event is open to ALL Washington Wildcats and their families. It is FREE, and the pool will not be open to the public during this time, so we'll have it all to ourselves. The concession stand will not be open. It's looking like it's going to be really HOT, so the perfect way to cool off! We would love to see everyone attend!
~ Summer PTO Working Meeting: We are planning a summer PTO meeting on Wednesday, July 9 at 5:00pm. We will be meeting at Pioneer Bank. Please join us if you are able, as we do much of our planning for the year at this time.
~ Fall Pictures: It's definitely not anything to concern yourself with at the moment, but some folks like to plan ahead. Due to the District 77 calendar change, Lifetouch will not be able to offer pictures at Entrance Conferences. They have agreed to offer a before-school picture day on Wednesday, August 20th from 7:00am-7:00pm. We recognize that this date will not work for all students, but we also wanted to offer a day before school started for those students and families who might be able to do pictures on that day. As the summer marches on, more information will be shared with the package options, the volunteer needs, etc.
~ The Washington Office will be closed June 19-August 3. Should you need anything, please don't hesitate to leave a voicemail or send an email.
I hope to see many families at our Sunday Spring Lake Park Wildcat Reading Event.

Learning Never Stops
Seven Washington staff members spent three impactful days at the PLC At Work Institute in Minneapolis. Not only did we learn so much and refine our knowledge about the foundational practices within the Professional Learning Community structure, but we had a blast and bonded over our shared passion for student learning!
Reading & Math Corps Update
We are so lucky to have Reading Corps and Math Corps at Washington. Here's some information and data about the impact it has on the students at Washington.
As we wrap up the 2024-25 school year, I want to sincerely thank you for your partnership in having Reading & Math Corps in your building. Students in our programs received small group, high dosage tutoring in foundational skills and we are excited to share the positive progress and impact!
We’re proud to share the progress made this year:
149 students served
170,4003 total tutoring minutes delivered
69% of Reading Corps students demonstrated growth on key academic benchmarks
- 94% of K-3 Math Corps students demonstrated growth on key academic benchmarks
84% of 4-8 Math Corps students demonstrated growth on key academic benchmarks
