Charger Check-In
October 15, 2026
Hi SCA Families!
I hope you all had a fun-filled long weekend!
The feedback I received about parent-teacher conferences was wonderful! We all value this time together to connect, celebrate our students’ successes, and discuss areas where they can continue to grow. Everyone here at SCA wants to see our students thrive and develop into confident, capable young adults. Although I have only been at SCA for two years, it has been such a joy to watch the students blossom!
I also want to share how often we receive compliments about our students. Their kindness, respect, and character reflect the hard work you put into parenting each and every day. As a parent myself, I understand that raising children comes with its share of challenges. Between schoolwork, sports, activities, social events, and friendships, there is so much to manage! When we add in the ever-changing trends, devices, social media, gaming, and technology that surround our children today, I can only imagine how overwhelming it can feel at times.
Please know that we are here to partner with you, support your children, and help them navigate these important years. At SCA, we believe that we are not meant to navigate these challenges alone. Our Catholic faith is at the heart of all we do. It guides our decisions and reminds us to treat one another with compassion and grace. We strive to help our students grow not only academically, but also spiritually and in their understanding of what it means to live as Christ calls us to live. We are grateful for the trust you place in us.
A dear friend asked me the other day when do things slow down at school with all of our activities. My response? June 9th!! And that is a true story! 😊
But in all seriousness, it is something to celebrate! So many wonderful things happen at SCA, and our school community is always finding ways to bring people together. Trunk or Treat is tomorrow. Our Grandfriends celebration is next week, Halloween festivities and our pep rally will follow the week after that!
Amid all the excitement, our teachers remain focused on what matters most: learning and helping every child grow. At St. Catherine’s, we teach our students the value of hard work, the importance of commitment, and the joy of celebrating together when that work is done. Through it all, our Catholic faith remains our foundation.
Thank you for being such an important part of our SCA family. I am grateful for the care and commitment you bring to your children each day. There is so much to look forward to, and I am excited for all that we will continue to accomplish together!
Have a wonderful time at Trunk or Treat!
God Bless and Go Chargers! ❤️🖤⚡️

FORMS RETURNED TO SCHOOL
Just a reminder, all forms and money turned into school must be labeled in an envelope with exact change. Please do not paperclip money to a form. We do not keep money in the office to make change. Extra money in any envelope will be donated to our Guardian Angel Fund. All forms that are for different events or purchases must be in separate envelopes with separate payments. Any combined forms will be sent back home. Thank you for your understanding.
Hot lunch is back!
We offer you lunch options from different restaurants each week on Wednesdays. Please make sure you log in to https://www.myhotlunchbox.com/ and update your child(ren)'s profile. This is especially important for some grade levels to ensure that their lunch is there when they are! If you're a new family, please go to the website and create a new profile for your child(ren). Each child needs to have a separate profile. Ordering closes at 12pm on Monday each week, but you can order weeks in advance if that's convenient for you. If you have any questions, please contact Cara Hanrahan at hotlunch@scaoaklawn.org.
