AVA Family Update
October 11, 2024
Good morning AVA Students and Families,
We will have no school on Monday. The schedule and the guidance and community updates are listed below as usual.
You may notice that we have PSAT and MCAS testing coming up in the important dates section. If I'm expecting you to show for any/all of these tests, you will receive individual notifications from me next week.
Thank you for your time.

Guidance Updates
ASVAB Exam
For AVA students and families interested in a military career after graduation, the ASVAB exam is a requirement for entry into the military. AHS campus hosts two ASVAB test administrations every year, one in December and one in March. Please click HERE to register to take the ASVAB on AHS campus. If you are having trouble accessing the link, students should please log into their attleborops.net account first.
AHS College Visits
Fall season is the time many college admissions representatives visit AHS campus to speak directly to students about their admissions process and general campus questions. All AVA juniors and seniors are strongly encouraged to attend (even if virtually)! Upcoming visits include UMass Boston, Brandeis University, and Rhode Island College. Click HERE for the full list of visits as well as directions on how to sign up through Naviance. Email Ms Nellie for any help.
MCAC Week
The Massachusetts College Application Celebration is a week-long event from November 18-22 devoted to helping students complete college applications. This is a great opportunity for our seniors to get help during the school day. AVA seniors and families are strongly encouraged to come if interested. Please register HERE if interested.
As always, please feel free to email me (nng@attleboroschools.com) with any questions, comments, or concerns. Have a safe and dry weekend!
