📱📘Dial-A-Story 📘📱
SWISD is excited to share a wonderful new initiative from our Library Services team...Dial-A-Story! By calling 830-355-6455, families can enjoy a short story read aloud each week in English or Spanish. It’s a fun and easy way to make reading part of everyday life, whether you’re at home, in the car, or winding down for the evening.
📕Book Give-Away 📕
As we enter this wonderful season of giving and thankfulness, our library is excited to share some special news! The San Antonio Area Retired Teachers Association (SAARTA) will be visiting our school on Monday, November 18th to host a book giveaway for our students.
Thanks to their kindness and generosity, EVERY child will receive a free book to take home and keep. What a wonderful way to celebrate the joy of reading and the spirit of gratitude that fills this time of year!
We are so thankful for the SAARTA volunteers who continue to support our young readers and nurture a lifelong love of books.
Wishing you all a joyful season of reading and giving,

🤓 The Great San Antonio Reading Challenge 🤓
🤓 The Great San Antonio Reading Challenge 🤓
The Great S.A. Reading Challenge is a City-wide reading challenge to ignite a love of reading in San Antonio’s 3rd graders through joyful, independent reading outside of school hours. Teachers are helping to track students minutes while at school. We ask that you send in their minutes read over the weekend on reading logs provided to students. There will be plenty of incentives for students to earn throughout this competition.
We challenge every 3rd grader reads at least 25 minutes a day outside of school time! When you read, you win!
