PSSA Information
Harding Elementary Grades 3, 4, and 5
PSSA Testing
Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 are required to take the PSSA. The PSSA (Pennsylvania System of School Assessment) is a standards-based assessment administered in all Pennsylvania public schools. Students will receive a score in one of four levels: Advanced, Proficient, Basic and Below Basic.
The PSSA is an opportunity for your child to showcase their strengths and assist our school with the planning of curriculum and instruction to best support your child(ren).

ELA (grades 3, 4, 5) - April 21, 22, 23
Science (grade 5 ONLY) - April 27 and 28
Math (grades 3, 4, 5) - April 29 and 30
Please plan appointments around this testing schedule.
We will be having all of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades eat breakfast as a class at the start of the school day. ALL students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades should report to school for 9:10 on each of the following days:
Tuesday, April 21st
Wednesday, April 22nd
Thursday, April 23rd
Monday, April 27th**
Tuesday, April 28th**
Wednesday, April 29th
Thursday, April 30th
**5th Grade Only
Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades should NOT report early for breakfast on these days.
To ensure all students are successful on the test, please help support your child with the following items:
- Arrive to school on time.
- Attend school daily.
- Eat a healthy breakfast.
- Get 8-10 hours of sleep the night before the test.
- Plan appointments and vacations around our PSSA dates.
- Talk to your child about trying their best on the test.
