Our Kickoff Edition: August 27, 2026
Hello from Principal Guditus
Hello Eddy Families,
It's great to start thinking about coming back to school! We cannot wait to see your students. We know it is a privilege to support, teach, and inspire our Eddy Elementary School students each day. We have the opportunity to spend 181 days each school year with them, and we take this responsibility seriously. Our staff has spent the summer continuing to learn by reading, collaborating together, taking classes, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, and thinking about how to best support our learners as we transition back to the school year schedule.
A special shoutout welcome to all our incoming third grade students who will be new to Eddy as well as several new students who are enrolling in Brewster. Welcome to Eddy Elementary School! I am holding tours for third graders and new students who would like another walk through of the building on the following days/times. These tours are group tours, and you are welcome to bring siblings if needed; we just ask for parents/caregivers to monitor students and keep them with us on the tour. No RSVP needed:
- Friday, 8/28 @ 9:00am
- Tuesday, 9/1 @ 12:30pm
If you have not yet, you will hear from your student's 26-27 classroom teacher within the next week to say hello! If you did not receive your student's classroom placement via email, please reach out to me at gudituss@nausetschools.org and I will email it to you directly. Sometimes the email can be stuck in spam because there was an attachment.
Those of you who ordered supplies through 1st Day School Supplies: boxes of supplies have arrived and are in teachers' classrooms! These supplies will be distributed on the first or second day of school. For those who are purchasing supplies on your own, here are the Eddy Elementary supply lists by grade: https://www.nausetschools.org/o/eddy/page/fall-2026-student-supply-lists.
A reminder that students should arrive at school each day between 7:25am-7:40am. Buses drop off in the back bus lane, and students who arrive by car may be dropped off at the main entrance in the front circle by the flagpole. If you drop off or pick up your student, please be aware that specialized buses drop off and pick up students in the front circle as well, and the same standard rules apply with school bus stop signs. Please be sure to stop your car if students are actively loading or unloading.
I look forward to seeing students on Tuesday, September 8 by 7:40am for the first day of school. I look forward to a great school year!

This school year, there will be a change in after-school music/theater days with Mrs. Faris and Mr. Glancy. Aspen Information: Action Step Needed by Families!
Aspen is our student information system which houses each student's biographical information, emergency contact information, and student/family required signoffs. At the middle and high school level, Aspen also provides additional information to parents/caregivers about student homework and grades. The district is now asking all families to sign up for the Aspen Parent Portal, regardless of your student's grade, PreK-12.
⬇️ Not sure how to register your returning child? Directions are listed below! ⬇️
- Parent/Caregiver Directions for gaining/regaining access to your Aspen Parent Portal. (slide deck)
- Parent/Caregiver Directions for Online Returning Student Registration (OLRR) (slide deck)
- Parent/Caregiver Directions for Online Returning Student Registration (OLRR) (video)
Our online re-registration includes parent sign-off of the following:
- Medical Information
- Permission to Publish Form
- Acceptable Use Policy Agreement & Student Technology User Agreement
- Students' Rights and Responsibilities Handbook
Each student must be re-registered each year. This allows our system to maintain accurate information. It also allows families to annually sign needed documents.
