Week in Review
We have a couple of busy weeks coming up. I know that Erika is looking for people to help run some stations. Also, Sharron is looking for volunteers for Battle of the Books on March 6th.
Thanks to Jenna, Deb, Erika, and Brenda for letting me know they can work the Book Fair Parent Night on Monday, March 5th. It is not too late to volunteer and join in the fun!

Also, parent communication during this time until the spring conferences will be beneficial for you, the student, and the parent. Remember, the parent may not be checking Skyward on a regular basis. Conferences are on March 19th from 2-6:30 pm. Last year each individual teacher sent home letters inviting parents they needed to see. Let's get this date out to parents early this year so we can have those needed conferences with parents of students who are struggling.

Renee and Terry will be looking for volunteers to work the parent night. Please let me know if you are willing to work this event.
Also, when completing your classroom poster for the book fair, put your name on the back big enough for Renee or Terry to read it. Also, those are due on Thursday, March 1st by the end of the day.

Final Thought
I know that we all work hard each today to help create opportunities for students to succeed. For some students, you may be their best and most vocal cheerleader. We all need a cheerleader. You are that person for your students. It is hard work and can be exhausting. However, the benefits you provide for your students can't be measured. It is priceless. I know the students look to you to be their stable rock and we do a great job being there for these children.
Finally, I asked you to give me input on ideas as it pertains to school safety. I would like to do the fire drill differently on March 27th or April 30th. For one of those drills I would like to close off an entrance and have the students go out a different direction. Any ideas are appreciated.
