November 2025 Newsletter
A Message from Michaela
Dear Winona families,
As we enter the month of November, our focus turns to gratitude. This season reminds us to pause, reflect, and appreciate the many gifts in our lives—our students, staff, families, and the community that makes Winona such a special place.
We are grateful for the curiosity and resilience our scholars bring every day, for the dedication of our teachers and staff, and for the support of families who partner with us to ensure every child thrives. Gratitude is more than a feeling—it is a practice we can share with our students through kindness, acknowledgment, and encouragement.
This month, we encourage our students and families to celebrate small wins, express appreciation to someone who makes a difference in your life, and reflect on the positive moments that shape our school community. Together, we can foster a culture where everyone feels valued and supported—every kid, every day.
Educationally yours,
Michaela

Student Leadership Gratitude Grams Sale!
This November, our school is celebrating gratitude! Students will have the opportunity to send Gratitude Grams to friends, staff members, or even family to share why they’re thankful for them.
Each Gratitude Gram will include a handwritten note and a small treat or token of appreciation. They’ll be on sale NOVEMBER 15-NOVEMBER 22 for $2 each, and will be delivered NOVEMBER 22ND.
This is a great way for students to practice expressing gratitude, build community, and spread positivity around our school before Thanksgiving break.
Thank you for helping us grow gratitude!
Cooler Weather is Here!
We will be moving into our cold weather season. Please make sure that your children are wearing coats, and possibly hats and gloves to school on those cold days. When the snow begins to stick to the ground, we also recommend students have boots for recess or to stay on the blacktop. We do not typically have students change their clothes if they are wet if they have chosen to roll in the snow without the proper gear to keep them dry. Please let our school know if there is a way that we can help with cold-weather gear. One final request would be to make sure that your child's gear has their name labeled on it so that we can return any lost items to the correct owner, and so that you do not have to buy any replacement gear!
Kindergarten Open House 5:30-7pm
