May was a Month Full of Appreciation!
May has always been my favorite month with the weather changing, my birthday celebration, baseball in full swing, and another school year wrapping up. Although my birthday celebrations have drastically changed as I have gotten older and lovely May weather can wreak havoc on my seasonal allergies (and baseball season, as it started raining one day and did not stop!), this month continues to be a great one because we get to formally celebrate so many different groups for what they do or have done on a daily basis. Although we should celebrate them every day, special thanks goes to our principals (May 1), school lunch heroes (May 2), teachers (May 6), nurses (May 7), mothers (May 11), armed forces (May 17), speech therapists (May 18), and soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country (May 26).

The Inaugural Golf Outing was a Hole in One!
The first-ever NRESC Education Foundation Golf Outing on May 19 was a major success as the foundation raised nearly $4,000 to support current and future NRESC programs! Thank you to the education foundation team, NRESC staff, our generous sponsors, and our wonderful golfers for a great day! Be on the lookout for a fall event, as well as the second annual golf outing in May of 2026!
