Note from Our Principal
Dear RedHawk Families,
This week has given me an even greater appreciation for the opportunity we have to show up, be present, and be part of the Wredling community. From cheering on our students at championship athletic competitions to celebrating Walk, Ride, and Roll to School Day, hosting conference competitions, and welcoming families for parent-teacher conferences, our week has been full of opportunities to connect, celebrate, and support our students.
From one perspective, that might feel like A LOT (and it absolutely is!). But from another, it is what makes our Wredling community so incredibly special. We are a big school in a community that values education, and it shows. It shows in the pride you bring to supporting our students at athletic events, the time and thoughtfulness you invest in communicating with teachers during conferences, the generosity of those who contributed to our amazing PTO dinner, and the countless other ways you show up for our students, our staff, and one another.
So, thank you. Thank you for being present, for investing your time, and for recognizing that the work we do together matters.
As we reflect on these opportunities, I am reminded that Together, We Soar! is more than a phrase; it is a commitment to working together on behalf of our students. These middle school years are formative ones. Our students are learning who they are, how they fit into the world around them, and what they are capable of becoming. They need the adults in their lives to work together, to wrap around them with care and support, and to hold high expectations for their growth, choices, and potential.
One of the most powerful ways we can do this is by creating consistency between home and school. When students hear shared language, experience consistent expectations, and understand that the adults in their lives are working together, we strengthen the foundation they need to grow. This doesn't mean we always have to approach every situation in exactly the same way. It means we communicate, collaborate, and work toward the same goal: helping our students become the best versions of themselves.
I often think about the power of expecting the best in our students. When we communicate that we believe in their ability to rise to a challenge, make a better choice, learn from a mistake, or try again, we help them see those possibilities in themselves. High expectations and genuine care are not competing ideas; they belong together. Our students deserve adults who will celebrate their successes, support them through their struggles, and continue to believe in them even when the path forward isn't easy.
We have an incredible opportunity to make these years meaningful for our students, and we don't have to do it alone. Thank you for being part of this partnership, for showing up in big and small ways, and for helping make Wredling a place where our students feel supported, challenged, and valued.
Together, we soar—and our students are better for it.
Proud To Be A RedHawk

CTE Presents: THE LITTLE MERMAID JR.
Grades 2 – 9
Journey “under the sea” with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney’s Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories, Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.
In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been seeking.
Written to flow seamlessly between land and sea, Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR. provides plenty of opportunities to bring these locations to life through creative movement and configurations. The fantasy of being underwater means your entire cast and crew can let their imaginations run wild.
