Mrs. Mastin, Vines School Counselor

I am honored to serve as the Vines Primary Counselor for the second year. I am at home here and look forward to being here for many more years. In June, I was humbled to be chosen to be on Dr. Goffney's Black Student Outcomes Work team that is addressing the district's need to ensure equity for ALL of our students. I am dedicated to this effort on our campus and within the district.

I am in the car rider line every afternoon so please wave and say, "hello." Together we can ensure our BEARS are Brave, Engaged, Able, Respectful, and Safe...prepared for the road ahead because Success Starts Here at Vines.

We love our school counselor! Thank you for being ALL in for ALL students and staff at Vines Primary school.

Kings and Queens Day February 5th

We are celebrating the end of our Language Arts unit: Kings and Queens with a dress-up day. Students may come dressed as a King or Queen on February 5th. Join in the celebration!

100th Day of School , February 8th

WOW! We are approaching our 100th day of school on February 8th. To celebrate, we would love for our BEARS to dress up like they are 100 years old or they can wear a shirt with a hundred items on it. Get creative with glasses, hair, and outfit. We will have a variety of activities during the day to celebrate.

EMPOWER. ENGAGE. LEAD. EMPOWER. ENGAGE. LEAD.

  • EMPOWER families to become strong advocates for their children
  • increasing school staff capacity to effectively connect, ENGAGE, and partner with families
  • developing systems and opportunities for parents to be active LEAD partners on campus

How to engage with your child?

Having a meaningful engagement with your child will help increase your child's knowledge base. Check out the Waterford Mentor website for free materials to help you engage with your child in reading, math, science, and social studies.
