Cherrydale Primary School

NO SCHOOL - FRIDAY 5/22 & MONDAY 5/25

From the Principal

Happy Wednesday Cherrydale Families!

As we head into the final three weeks of school, we have so many exciting activities and opportunities ahead for our students. While the school year is winding down, there is still plenty of learning, laughter, and memory-making to come!

As a reminder, this Friday, May 22nd, will be a snow make-up day, followed by no school on Monday, May 25th, in observance of Memorial Day. We hope our Cherrydale families enjoy the 4-day weekend and have an opportunity to rest, recharge, and spend time together.

When we return, we’ll jump right back into one of our favorite Cherrydale traditions—our annual Beach Days! Our beach days are as follows:

Kindergarten & 1st Grade – June 1
2nd & 3rd Grade – June 2

As we prepare for these exciting days, we encourage families to take a few moments to review Beach Day expectations with your child so everyone can enjoy a safe, respectful, and fun experience. We appreciate your partnership in helping students represent Cherrydale positively while making the most of this special tradition.

We’re also excited for our annual Field Day on June 5! This is always a favorite tradition and a wonderful opportunity for students to celebrate a year of hard work, teamwork, and school spirit. We welcome and encourage families to consider signing up to volunteer for all or part of the day—your support helps make this event such a special experience for our students. Please see our PTA section for more information on how to volunteer.

There is still so much to look forward to as we finish the school year together, and we can’t wait to make these final weeks memorable for our students!

Warm Regards,

Christine Firth, Principal
