Oak Grove R-VI School District Organizational Structure & Parent & Community Communication Flow Chart - CSIP Priority 3

Clear communication is an important part of building strong relationships between our schools, families, staff, and community. Two resources—the District Organizational Chart and Chain of Communication Chart—help make navigating our school district easier.

The Organizational Chart answers a simple question: “How is our district structured?” It provides a clear look at district leadership, departments, schools, and responsibilities, helping our community better understand how the district operates.

The Chain of Communication Chart answers another important question: “Where do I start when I have a question or concern?” It helps families connect with the person closest to the situation, who often has the most information and can provide the quickest assistance. If additional support is needed, the chart provides a clear path to the next appropriate level.

Together, these resources promote clarity, consistency, accountability, and transparency across the district.

The goal of a Chain of Communication isn't to create a barrier—it's to create a path. By starting with the person closest to the question or concern, we can work together to communicate effectively, address concerns efficiently, and continue building strong relationships throughout our school community.

Effective communication starts with connecting with the right person. The Oak Grove R-VI School District's Chain of Communication helps families and community members quickly identify the appropriate contact for questions, concerns, or support.

2026 MAP & EOC Score Updates - CSIP Priority 1

This year, Oak Grove scored above the state average in third- and fourth-grade English language arts, fourth-grade mathematics, fifth-grade science, Biology, and Government. These results reflect meaningful improvement over the past two years and demonstrate that our district is moving in the right direction.

Oak Grove’s two-year academic growth has earned the district the MRVC Momentum Award. This award recognizes MRVC districts that have built and sustained significant positive momentum, demonstrated measurable academic growth, and established a clear trajectory of improvement in state assessment results.

Financial Outlook and Budget Update - CSIP Priority 3

During the September 16, 2026, Board of Education meeting, district leaders presented an update on the 2026–2027 budget and tax rate. The discussion included a review of the 2025–2026 year-end budget, state funding, current enrollment, bond financing, and the potential multi-year financial impact of ongoing Jackson County litigation and tax-related uncertainties. The district is continuing to monitor revenue and expenditures, evaluate reserve levels and the possible need for a Tax Anticipation Note (TAN), and prepare for development of the 2027–2028 budget beginning later this fall.
