It is hard believe the Fall has turned to Winter and we are set for our Holiday Break from December 22nd through January 2nd (returning on Monday, January 5th).

As the cold Maine winter settles in, we want to remind you that we are here to support our community. If your family needs assistance with warm clothing, such as hats, mittens, or shoes, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Congratulations to the BMS Band and Chorus for a wonderful celebration of Veteran's Day. The Band and Chorus treated our Veterans to a concert last Thursday evening. They followed this with a school-wide Veterans Day Celebration and then marched in the Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday morning. Thank you to all who participated and celebrated our talented musicians!

The Wreaths Across America convoy made a special stop at Biddeford Middle School on Monday, December 8th, offering students a meaningful opportunity to hear directly from veterans and community leaders about the importance of remembrance and service. The event is part of Wreaths Across America’s mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach—a message that deeply aligns with our commitment to helping students grow as thoughtful, civic-minded citizens.

We were honored to have been chosen as an official presentation site along their Escort to Arlington—the nation’s longest veterans’ parade—carrying thousands of remembrance wreaths to honor the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country.

The Welcome Center is now fully staffed! The Biddeford, Saco and Dayton School Departments are thrilled to welcome Tara Rivera as the Director of Family Engagement. She joins Renata O'Donnell at the Biddeford Middle School after working for the Opportunity Alliance and working several years in the South Portland schools. Tara and Renata will assist families needing extra time and support in registering students to schools, screening ML eligibility, and making best interest determinations for McKinney-Vento (homeless) students. Welcome, Tara!

Biddeford Middle School uses a software program called "Family ID" for student-athletes to sign up for participation. Parents will need to create an account within this website, which allows them to upload medical forms, fill out general medical information and select the sport that the student is interested in participating in. The Biddeford Tigers Unified Team is gearing up for another exciting season, and our BHS athletes are inviting the community to show their support through this year’s merchandise fundraiser. Proceeds from each purchase help provide essential equipment, uniforms, and team experiences that make the season meaningful for our student-athletes and partners.
