A message from your principal
Hello Evergreen Families,
We have conferences coming up on Monday, November 3rd and Tuesday, November 4th. More information is below about the times conferences are being held and how they are being held. We are looking forward to meeting with you and working together to support your child. You may want to check ParentVue or StudentVue before coming and that can help you determine what classrooms to visit first. These conferences are about five to eight minutes long to talk through some basics. It can depend on how busy conferences are too. If you would like to arrange another time to meet that is possible if there is something that will need a bit more time. Teachers and staff look forward to meeting with you!
Due to conferences, there is no school on Monday or Tuesday. Friday, November 7th, students will end their school day at 11:35. So, anticipate a much earlier arrival time if your student/s take the school bus home.
I hope your week went as well as Evergreen's week. Enjoy your weekend!
Sincerely,
Sara Idle

Fall Conferences November 3rd and 4th
Across our district, two specific days each fall are designated as non-school days, dedicated to Family/Teacher Conferences. This year, those two days are Monday, November 3rd, and Tuesday, November 4th. School will not be in session on those days as we hold both for needed opportunities to connect with our families. School will resume for our students that Wednesday, November 5th and will conclude that week, on Friday, November 7th, with an 11:35am dismissal day.
Our format for fall conferences include OPEN WINDOWS to provide families with opportunities to meet with each of their child's teachers. See the schedule below for the hours we will be open on the following days. Please take note that CLOSED means teachers/staff will not be available during those times, so plan accordingly to stop by during OPEN time slots. We look forward to meeting with you and answering all your questions/inquiries! Thank you!

EPS sees highest 4-year, on-time graduation rate in district history at 96.3%
"This record graduation rate reflects the incredible resilience and determination of our students," said Executive Director of College & Career Readiness Jeanne Willard. "Each diploma represents years of effort, growth, and support. It opens doors to endless opportunities for their future."
Cascade High School saw the highest increase, going from 94.6% to 96.6%.
"We are very proud of the 96.3% graduation rate," said Everett Public Schools Superintendent Ian B. Saltzman. "This is due to the hard work of teachers, administrators, staff, students, and families."
This record-breaking milestone reflects Everett Public Schools' strong commitment to excellence and to preparing every student for success beyond high school.
Cascade High School—International Baccalaureate Diploma Program
Cascade High School (CHS) is now a Candidate School for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program. The school is working toward authorization as an IB World School, joining more than 4,000 schools worldwide that share a common philosophy: a commitment to high-quality, challenging, and international education. This commitment is one that both CHS and Everett Public Schools believe is essential for our students.
The IB Diploma Program is a two-year course sequence during a student’s junior and senior years. CHS will provide guidance for students in grades 8-10 that will prepare them for the IB Diploma Program that begins their junior year of high school.

Fill out your CNEEB Form Today!
Everett Public Schools uses the CNEEB form to determine which families qualify for Free & Reduced (F&R) meals.
The F&R Meals Application is more than just a lunch. Students who qualify for F&R meals may also be eligible to receive other benefits, including reduced ASB, sports, and AP exam fees, as well as a variety of benefits in their local communities. Certain school funding is also closely linked with student F&R meal rates.
Federal law requires all students to have access to meal applications, and Everett Public Schools encourages all families to apply for benefits, if they believe they are eligible. September is a critical time to connect with families seeking benefits, as district F&R rates are finalized in October. CNEEB Applications and informational post cards have been delivered to every school office. Families may also complete applications online by visiting www.myschoolapps.com.
The online application is available in seven languages.
Student Public Library Accounts Available!
All students in Everett Public Schools now have access to resources at both Everett Public Libraries and Sno-Isle Libraries, using a simple username and password for both. This partnership has expanded our students' access to ebooks, audiobooks, physical books, databases, and other digital resources.
This month, librarians will begin introducing the public library resources to students and helping them log in. It won't be all at once, but usernames and passwords will stay the same as long as the student is in the district. Please check with your school librarian for more information.
If you prefer to keep your student from accessing the public libraries, you can opt them out by filling out this form and returning it to your child's school

Seattle Children's Psychiatric Urgent Care Clinic
Seattle Children’s is happy to announce the opening Sept. 30 of a new Psychiatric Urgent Care Clinic, the first pediatric-focused psychiatric urgent care in Washington state. We hope you will share this information with your teams.
What: Same-day in-person and virtual (video) visits providing mental and behavioral health crisis assessment, initial treatment recommendations and referral to follow-up resources in the community. Care is provided by our experienced team of licensed mental health therapists, family advocates/case managers, psychiatric advanced practice providers (APPs) and medical assistants.
Who: Designed for youth ages 4 through 17 who are experiencing a mental health crisis and need same-day intervention but do not need the services of an emergency department (ED). We care for all Washington youth ages 4 through 17, including children and teens with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
When: Open daily from noon to 8 p.m.; closed on major holidays.
Where: We see youth in person at Seattle Children’s Magnuson, located at 6901 Sand Point Way NE in Seattle, and through video visits from anywhere in Washington state. We recommend scheduling a same-day in-person appointment online or getting in the virtual line for a video visit. We have very limited capacity to see walk-ins and cannot guarantee walk-in access.
Please encourage families who live outside the Seattle area to use the virtual/video option. They must be physically in Washington state during the video visit.
How: Before scheduling a visit, learn whether to go to Psychiatric Urgent Care or an ED. A referral is not required.
- For in-person visits, schedule a same-day appointment online. (Scheduling opens at 12:01 am daily.)
- For video visits from anywhere in Washington state, get in the virtual line to be seen. (The first spots in virtual line open at 11:30 am daily.)
- Please note that spots in the virtual line will open up throughout the clinic day, please encourage youth and families to regularly check back for availability.
- Please note we have very limited capacity to see walk-ins and cannot guarantee walk-in access. Please encourage patients/families to schedule an in-person appointment online or get in the virtual line to be seen for a video visit.
Why: This new service – the first of its kind in the Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho region – is part of Seattle Children’s ongoing commitment to building out the continuum of care to ensure children and teens receive the right level of care at the right time. Psychiatric Urgent Care is intended to connect children and teens in Washington state to faster crisis assessment and follow-up resources in the community.
Please note that patients seen in the Psychiatric Urgent Care Clinic will not access other outpatient psychiatry services at Seattle Children’s faster than those referred through the normal process.
