Homecoming Week
We had so much fun during Homecoming week! The week kicked off with the football players and cheerleaders coming to visit the students to do read alouds in all classrooms and put on a pep rally for our students. In addition to the visits from the high school students we participated in a Spirit Week and raised money and collected cans to support FISH of Grand Blanc. Our student council students counted ALL of the cans and we were able to collect 297 cans of soup for FISH. In addition to the 297 cans the building will be purchasing $650 worth of additional non-perishable food for FISH!

GB Needs Bus Drivers!
As you may have noticed, schools across the state are experiencing a shortage of bus drivers. With such a large number of district buses on the road every day, the need for new drivers at GBCS is almost continuous. We are currently hiring and provide free training and licensing. There are full and part-time opportunities available! If you have ever considered becoming a bus driver, we would love to talk to you! Please call 810-591-8965 or stop in to 2500 E Maple Ave, Flint, MI 48507 and talk to Bonnie or Adam at GBCS Transportation or apply online!
Upper Elementary Golf Club Info from Ryan Yellen (golf coach)
Great news! The GB Elementary Golf Club is back by popular demand. We kicked off the upper elementary golf club last year following a very popular reception to our middle school club.
Below is the link to the informational flyer that I again gratefully ask to be sent out as part of your building newsletters, email campaigns, or mail packets to parents. Without you, I would not be able to have so many wonderful young players each fall and winter. Parents can register their player using the link on the page, and any questions can be directed to me via email.
We Need Early Childhood Substitutes!
GBCS’s Early Childhood programs are looking for Substitute Teacher Assistants and Latchkey Teachers! If you or someone you know might be interested in filling in for our amazing staff on a flexible, part-time basis, please contact (810) 591-6083 or email childrensgarden@gbcs.org
