April 2025
A Message From Our Superintendent
As we welcome the month of April, I want to take a moment to highlight some important dates and share a few thoughts on the crucial role that public schools play in the lives of our students and our community.
Important Dates for April:
· April 11th: NHS Banquet @ 6:00 pm
· April 12: Saturday School from 8:00 am-11:00 am
· April 18-21: Easter Break
The Importance of Standardized Testing
As we approach our statewide standardized testing, I want to take a moment to emphasize the importance of these assessments. While they are just one piece of the puzzle, these tests give us important insight into student learning and allow us to better understand how we can support each child. Success on these tests is not just about scores- it’s about showing our students how their hard work and preparation can translate into meaningful growth.
To all our students: Please remember that these assessments are a tool to help us recognize your strengths, identify areas for improvement, and help guide us in providing the best education possible.
Paraprofessional Appreciation Day
One special occasion we will celebrate is Paraprofessional Appreciation Day on Wednesday, April 2nd. This day gives us an opportunity to recognize and thank the incredible paraprofessionals at Kimball School who make such an extreme impact on our students and teachers every day.
Our paraprofessionals play a crucial role in creating an environment where every student can succeed. Whether they provide one-on-one support, assist in classrooms, or help with the day-to-day needs of our students, their contributions are invaluable. The care, patience, and expertise they bring to our school are truly remarkable, and we are lucky to have such a dedicated team of paraprofessionals.
On April 2nd, we encourage all our students, staff, and families to take a moment to express gratitude to the great paraprofessionals in our school. It’s because of their hard work and commitment that our students are able to thrive in the classroom and beyond.
Thank you to all our paraprofessionals for everything you do. We are incredibly fortunate to have you as part of our Kimball School family

St. Patrick's Day in First Grade
The first graders tried to catch a leprechaun.
The leprechaun destroyed their classroom and left a note for students, "Better luck next year".
Tenlie showed us that her trap did not have a leprechaun in it.
