APRIL
Kindergarten -Pre-Registration for the 26-27 school year is still going on. If you know if anyone that will have a child turning 5 on or before September 1, please let them know to contact the office and get a Kindergarten registration packet.
Online Registration FOR THE 26/27 School Year
- We will be conducting online registration for the 2026-2027 school year beginning May 1, 2026. Please see important information below.
***AS OF TODAY 5/11, WE ONLY HAVE 28% OF ONLINE REGISTRATION COMPLETED. WE HAVE 96 MORE STUDENTS THAT NEED REGISTRATION COMPLETED.***
- Complete the online registration forms by logging in to Teacherease by May 15, 2026. No fees are due at this time. Fees can be paid after August 1, 2026 online via Teacherease or you may send a check the first week of school.
- The 2026-2027 school calendar is available online at jcindians.org.
- Latchkey services will be at Jefferson School 3rd- 5th grade students will be transported.
- The first day of school is Friday, August 7th and will be an 11:30 dismiss Students will attend their first full day of school on Monday, August 10th.
- If you currently have a student enrolled in Pre-K-2nd grade, you should be able to log in to your teacherease account with your email and password. You can reset your password if needed.
- If you need help, lease contact the school at 618-983-7561.

11 - Spring Music Concert for 3rd-12th grade @ JCHS
12 - 1:50 DISMISSALS BEGIN FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SCHOOL YEAR.
- Baccalaureate @ JCity Church 7:30 p.m.
15 - High School graduation 7:00 p.m.

Coming to school regularly helps students feel connected and confident.
Our school attendance for May 4-8 was 94%.

Reminder: Every day matters!
Miss Moore's class had the highest attendance rate in the month of April. They will be receiving an Attendance party tomorrow - May 12th.

19 - Washington Middle School promotion 6:00 p.m.
20 - Last day of student attendance
- Pre-K park day at Arrowhead - all classes during the a.m.
21 - Teacher Institute Day
- Board Meeting 6:00 p.m.
25 - Memorial Day closed
27 - Kindergarten Screening for 26/27 @ Jefferson 8:00-12:00 & 1:00-4:00 - Registration packets need to be returned on this date. [please return in the large white envelope]
Summer School Dates
- May 28
- June 1-4, 8-11, 15-17, 22-25, 29 & 30
- Student hours: 8-12
- Breakfast and lunch will be served during summer school.
August
6 - Teacher Institute Day
- Open House/Parent Orientation [tentative 5:30-6:30 last name A-M, 6:30-7:30 last name N-Z]
- Meet your child's teacher and drop off all school supplies
7 - 1st Day with students 11:30 dismissal
Tiny Tribe Pre K Wrap Around
If you, or anyone you know that might want their child in Tiny Tribe next school year, please let them know that they MUST be screened for Pre K. Tiny Tribe will run the other half of the day. Please contact Renee Grisham or me if you are interested in discussing Tiny Tribe. There will be additional Pre-K screening dates in August.
