Panther News - Weekly Update

Hello Panther Families!

It’s a great week to be a Shadow Ridge Panther! Between our Choir Spirit Night at McDonald's on Wednesday, local fine arts showcases, and Friday's Mound Showdown, there are so many ways to support our students and community this week!

As a reminder, Thursday, October 8th, is the end of the 1st Nine Weeks, and Friday, October 9th, is a Student Holiday (No School). Let’s help our students finish the quarter strong!

From all of us,

Cheryl Oberkrieser

Principal | Shadow Ridge Middle School

Hard to believe, but the end of the first 9-weeks grading period is Thursday, October 8th! Now is the time for students to review their grades in Skyward, turn in any missing assignments, and complete available test corrections. We encourage students to email your teachers if you need extra support or have grade questions. Let's put in the work this week to make sure your report card reflects your absolute best effort!

Big congratulations to 8th grader Kundhana Kanagala, who took 3rd Place in her Division of the 2026 "With Honors" National Student Poetry Contest!

Kundhana’s winning poem, "The Beauty Beneath," stood out among entries nationwide, earning publication in the upcoming With Honors poetry book.

We are so proud of Kundhana’s creativity, talent, and hard work representing Shadow Ridge Middle School on the national stage!
