QE Parent/Guardian Weekly Update
October 2, 2026
Hello QE Families!
We had another great week at QE! Thank you to everyone who joined us for the ELD Resource Night—it was wonderful connecting families with so many great community resources. The smiles continued on Picture Day as our students dressed to impress. To top off the week, we held our very first PBIS (QE PRIDE) ticket turn-in! Students in the QE Leadership Squad did a fantastic job managing logistics and announcing the lucky winners of special experiences, like extra time with Oakley and Ozzie, eating lunch in a fancy chair, and even class-wide dance parties. Thank you for your continued support in making our school community thrive!

Dr. B’s Top 3 Showing Pride at QE
Each week, Dr. Bubser was looking for QE Pride (Perseverance, Respect, Control, Dependability, and Effort). Check out the top three from last week!
A big shout out to Emilie in 4th grade who stopped to assist teachers and help them clean up a big spill even though she did not make the mess. She showed incredible respect and dependability to step in when needed to help solve a problem! Thank you Emilie for showing QE Pride.
Some of our younger students are learning how to show QE PRIDE in the bathrooms now that they don’t have a bathroom in their classroom. William in 4th grade was helping the younger students and reminding them of what it means to show QE PRIDE in all areas of our school. Way to step up William!
Congratulations to Katie in Mrs. Rosica’s class. She has been a rockstar in 2nd grade with showing PRIDE behaviors by meeting expectations and taking ownership of her learning and responsibilities. Thank you, Katie, for showing dependability at QE. We are all proud of you!
Student Assistance Program (SAP)
Like in all schools, QE has an ESAP (Elementary/Student Assistance Program). The primary goal of the ESAP is to help students overcome barriers to learning so that they may achieve, advance, and remain in school. We have a trained, multi-disciplinary team to identify student needs, recommend interventions within school and community, and coordinate referrals for services. Mrs. Shannae Upton is our ESAP Counselor and she recommended this video that highlights SAP in Bucs County.
One group that we offer is a Changing Family Group for students who are dealing with a change in their families. The group will be facilitated by Mrs. Bruchak (School Counselor) and/or Mrs. Upton, our ESAP Counselor. Here is an interest form to complete by Friday, 10/9 if you are interested in your child participating in this group this fall.
Below is a flyer that provides more information about ESAP.
Attendance Matters
Strong routines lead to big learning gains! Research shows that regular attendance in elementary school helps children build confidence, form lasting friendships, and master key skills like reading and math. Even missing just a couple days a month can add up quickly over the school year. Check out this Attendance Flyer for helpful tips on establishing smooth morning routines, setting backup plans, and working with our school team to support your child’s attendance journey. Together, let’s set our students up for success—on time, every day!
As a reminder, here is a link to QCSD’s Attendance Procedures. All absences are required to be reported, and QCSD uses SafeArrival as our absence management system. If you have not set up an account yet, please do so at https://go.schoolmessenger.com. Parents can report their child’s absence 24 hours/7 days a week and future absences can be reported at any time.
We Want to Hear From You!
As part of our ongoing effort to support our QE students and families, we are asking parents/guardians to complete a brief survey. Your feedback helps us determine how we share information, identify areas of strength, and better understand ways we can continue to improve our support for students and families.
Please click the link below to complete the survey. It should only take a few minutes, and your input is greatly appreciated!
Thank you for partnering with us to support our students and strengthen our school community!

We believe every child is a valued and treasured member of our school family. You can trust that we are fully committed to ensuring your child feels respected, safe, and supported in their growth. When families, educators, staff, and students work hand-in-hand, we create the strongest path for our children to thrive and achieve their highest potential.
