Dear Decatur parents, staff, and students,
As you may know, all of DeKalb County has been under a boil water advisory since Saturday, September 14, 2019. The City Schools of Decatur will open schools and offices tomorrow, Monday, September 16, 2019. Since our area may continue to be under a boil water advisory into tomorrow, we encourage all students and staff to plan on bringing a full water bottle from home. As long as this advisory remains in place, please use bottled water or boil water that you send with your student.
Bottled water in limited quantities will be available at all schools for medications and other student or staff needs. Breakfast and lunch will be served, however, alternative menus may be used while the boil water advisory is in place. Nutrition staff will boil all water used for food preparation in our kitchens.
Thank you for your support,
City Schools of Decatur
