Counseling Smoke Signals

Spring has sprung and the counseling office is buzzing! Your counseling team is currently conducting Sophomore lessons, discussing topics like graduation requirements, testing, dual enrollment, and post-secondary plans. For more information on Sophomore Lessons, please check out this presentation.

Small group counseling sessions are also under way! These groups focus on issues including conflict resolution, the first-generation college student experience, employability skills, academic support, and self-regulation. In addition, the Communities in Schools organization is sponsoring Kate's Club, a grief support small group. If you have questions about small groups, feel free to reach out to your student's counselor.

Many scholarships have deadlines approaching. Be sure to check out the scholarship bank (under the Colleges tab) in Naviance. Please be mindful that many scholarships require letters of recommendation and transcripts. Applying as early as possible gives your teachers and counselors plenty of time to write stellar letters.
